Plasma Or Led Technology? What's Better?

The good thing about the eighties or nineties is that when you needed to buy a brand new Tv all you needed to do is go to your local electronics store and pick something that fits into your budget. Sony, Samsung, Sharp and many other brands used the same technologies, so all you needed to do is to pick the Tv which you've liked the most.

Today the things are different and buying a new Tv is not as simple as it used to be if you want to get the most for your money.

Plasma Review

The two dominant technologies that are used in today's televisions are Led and plasma, and in today's article I will share with you some indubitably foremost things you need to know about these two technologies before you'll buy a new Tv.

Before we'll move on to the actual comparison I just wanted to let you know that I'm not a video professional. When I'm buying a new Tv I don't get into all of the technical specifications and stuff like that. All I care about is price, brightness, choice and maybe power use, and this is why in this article we are going to focus on this criteria.

First of all let's talk about price.

Because plasma technology is an older technology which has been used in Tvs for decades the price of amelioration of plasma Tvs has decreased dramatically over the years and as a follow of this the costs that are passed to customer have decreased as well. This is why at least in 2011 plasma Tvs are still much cheaper when compared to Led Tvs.

What about image quality and brightness?

The newer Led screens furnish much better image quality than plasma screens. It doesn't matter whether you like playing video games or watching the newest Dvds on your big television screen - if you'll pick Led you'll be blown away by the image quality these televisions produce.

Honestly when I was playing "Metal Gear Solid 4" on my Playstation 3 I opinion that the operation was happening right in front of me. I don't know it's kinda hard to describe, but somehow Led technology makes things a minuscule bit more realistic.

In terms of choice it looks like Led technology is winning here too. A lot of big Tv manufacturers have dropped the plasma technology and they've focused on developing Led Tvs.

Finally lets focus on some green "issues". When compared to plasma technology Led Tvs use much less energy.
